HIT Class

Mark Noe’s world famous HIT Class goes to both Saturday (5/19) and Sunday (5/20) starting this weekend from 9:30 am to 11:00 am.

Come get the cardio workout you need to get into that swim wear before the pool opens. Drills, fun and games are the cornerstone of the HIT Class. All levels and experience invited to join the fun in the class.

HIT Class Starts This Sunday, 4/22

IT’S BAAAAAACK!!!!

Mark Noe’s famous HIT Class is back at Devon starting this Sunday, April 22nd at 9:30 am (Saturday classes will start on May 12th). The class runs until 11:00 am.

This high intensity tennis class is sure to give you a workout. Constant movement combined with fun tennis drills and play will get your heart rate up and keep it up through the entire class.

NEW FOR 2012…the Devon “Class Pass”.

Purchase a 4 session Class Pass for $50.00 or a 10 session Class Pass for $100.00. Passes are good through the end of the 2012 season.

You can still Pay-As-You-Play, cost per session is $15 per person.

If you have applied for a Devon Lifeguarding position for the 2012 summer season, please check your email for updates, payroll paperwork, guard suit order forms, and other information you will need to complete by April 30th.

Swim Team

Devon Swimmers,

Swim season is quickly approaching. We have another great year planned for Devon’s Swim Team. Please consider joining the team!

Our formal call-out meeting will be Sunday, June 3rd, 6:00pm, Devon pavilion. Practice will begin that week. First meet will be Tuesday, June 12th at Devon.

Conference this year will be Saturday, July 21, Ben Davis High School.

FYI: Practice is Monday – Friday 8:30-9:45 am ~ ages 11-17; 9:45-10:30am ~ ages 6-10. Tuesday & Thursday for ages 6 and under.

USTA 2.5 Men’s & Women’s and 6.0 Mixed Doubles Teams Forming

COME PLAY USTA SUMMER LEAGUE TENNIS AT DEVON

Looking for tennis newbies….
Have you thought about playing tennis, but just haven’t started?
Now is the time to learn and play….NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY

Several members have expressed a desire to start playing USTA league tennis. We are considering starting beginner’s teams of 2.5 Men’s, 2.5 Women’s, and 6.0 Mixed Doubles to play out of Devon.

2.5 Men’s teams would play their matches on Wednesdays, 2.5 Women’s teams would play their matches on Mondays, and 6.0 Mixed Doubles teams would play their matches on Fridays. All matches run from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

A match consists of two singles courts and three doubles courts. Teams need to have a minimum of 6 for Mixed Doubles and 8 for Men’s or Women’s signed up by April 15th.

USTA Team members do not have to be Devon Members to play on a Devon team. This can be a great way to show Devon off to your non-Devon friends and maybe make a member out of them (and get the referral bonus in the process).

USTA Summer Tennis League Teams Now Forming at DEVON!

While it may still be in the 30s with snow flurries flying, it is time to think about Summer USTA team tennis.

• New to Devon or don’t know anyone at Devon….this is a great way to meet new friends!
• New tennis player or just learning….this is great way to get started!
• Haven’t played tennis in a while…this is a great way to get back into the swing!

Last year we had 9 teams based out of Devon for the season…this year we want more. We will be forming teams of all levels, from 2.5 to 4.0 Adult/Senior/Super Senior Men’s and Women’s and 5.0 to 8.0 Mixed Doubles.

Team registration opens March 14th and each team has to have a minimum number (5 team members for some leagues and 8 team members for others) by April 18th. Play starts the week of May 13th for Adult and Senior leagues, the week of May 27th for Super Senior leagues, and June 1st for Mixed Doubles.

Invite your friends to join in the fun….

Teams can setup practice times with our tennis pro, Cathedral High School Coach Mark Noe, for drills, if desired.

Get your minds out of the gutter…
It’s the 1st Annual Devon Woody Tennis Tournament

Look in your basement, garage, attic, shed, or other spot you might have shoved that Jack Kramer or Davis Classic…

Go to your local yard, garage, moving, or estate sale and look for those Chris Everts, Donnays, and Dunlops….

We’ll have a weekend wood racquet tennis tournament soon after Devon opens for the 2012 season so get ready and find those woodys.
